Sound & Mantras

When sound becomes presence, movement, and balance

Sound cannot just be heard - sound is felt. Sound moves through our bodies, affects our nervous system and creates resonance in all of our cells and physical systems. In working with sound and chanting, my intention is to open and hold space for you to connect with your essence through vibration, silence, and conscious presence.

Sound & Sound Healing

I design sound baths and soundscapes where you get to rest and be showered in sound from crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, Koshi chimes etc. You can also receive a therapeutic sound healing session with me - a personal, physical treatment where Tibetan singing bowls are placed and played directly on or around your body.

Mantras & chanting

Mantras are repetitions of sound, often simple syllables or words (e.g Om) and often in Sanskrit. Mantras are used to focus the mind and open the heart in meditation and chanting.

When we chant mantras, we not only focus on the meaning of the words but also on the vibrations created by the mantra. When we use our voices to chant mantras, the voice becomes an instrument connecting us with our essence and with everything that is alive.

Chanting cultivates your ability to listen, feel, and let the body receive, perhaps experiencing the already innate wisdom that lives within you, just waiting to be awakened.

I have written my own melodies to several mantras and regularly chant these while playing the harmonium in my yoga classes. I also lead kirtans (mantra singing sessions).
